I want one (a song) that makes you feel better about yourself.” When asked who makes Swift feel better about herself she gushed about how the fans are always there for her “My fans are amazing, I cannot believe how dedicated they are, how thoughtful, how much they care. So it makes it more fun to create music, to create music videos knowing that they’ll care about little easter eggs or clues or hints. You have no idea how fun it is to make stuff for people who care about stuff like that, so it’s the fans, they’ve always been there. It’s gotten more fun as time has passed.”

Swift will also be sitting down with Roberts tomorrow to talk more about the single, along with dropping another surprise!

Taylor Swift Had a Secret Mural Commissoned and Even the Artist Thought it was for the NFL!

Taylor Swift just surprised fans in Nashville when she showed up to a Butterfly mural she had painted! There were no clues or hints that she would show up there, however, fans began to wonder when the mural appeared to be linked to Swift. For one, it was colorful pastels, had cats included, 13 hearts and a butterfly, which fans have been theorizing means she has evolved from her snake era.

After all, Swift did wear butterflies to her first Red Carpet event of the new era when she attended the iHeartRadio awards.

The mural was created by Kelsey Montague (which automatically makes us think about Romeo & Juliet). Montague had previously created a butterfly mural in NYC that Swift herself stood in front of five years prior.

However, Montague explained that she was commissioned by ABC to create this particular mural and was told it was for the NFL Draft (also happening in Nashville on Thursday)! She thought it was strange that they requested a specific number of hearts and cats, two cats and one kitten. Which is even more curious since Swift only has two cats! The best part? When fans of Swift saw it, they immediately thought it was connected to Swift and the artist herself did not even know!

Montague told Refinery 29: It was pretty last minute. ABC said they wanted butterfly wings, stars, rainbows, hearts, cats, flowers. That was kind of the direction I had and then I just went from there.”

Montague had no idea that Swift was officially involved until she walked up! She did say she was getting tagged in a lot of posts while she was creating it. Well with 13 hearts, pastels, cats, and flowers it’s no wonder!

Swift has another exciting announcement to make with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America tonight! She is also releasing new music tonight at midnight called “ME!” She told Roberts “I have been giving clues, but there are more clues to come!”

Speaking of clues, BFF to Swift, Selena Gomez announced the name of her new music back on December 13, 2017! She posted “You write all the thoughts some aren’t able to articulate. (ME!)” WOAH! It’s been right under our nose all this time!

Swift just revealed her new song “ME!” Featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco And a music video are dropping tonight!!

Hawaiian Country Artist, JoLivi Releases Soulful New Single “Vinyl” -Listen!

Recently, I turned the radio to a Country station and someone asked “Are you listening to Country?” Then proceeded to say how annoyed she got because of all these people who listen to Country Music and have never even been on a horse. I’m not sure what riding a horse has to do with liking an entire genre of music, but it just goes to show that you don’t have to meet a specific mold to enjoy what Country Music has to offer.

Hawaiian native, JoLivi would probably agree! There probably isn’t a whole lot of Country influence on the islands, but that hasn’t stopped her from resonating with the music and turning it into a career. JoLivi wants to make music for everyone and for every occasion. Her soulful new single “Vinyl” (written and produced by Mark McKee),  is playful and has all the makings of a hit song. Her vocals are strong, the beat is catchy and the song is carefree and relatable.

JoLivi told Variety Beat about the inspiration behind the song:

‘“Vinyl” is about experiencing moments that are classic and unfiltered.  There is something romantic about a jukebox and watching a record physically play on the turntable.  Also, just having fun.. leaving all your worries behind and getting lost in time.”

“Play me like a Vinyl

Get it on like I’m out of tune

Then flip me over if you want to play side two

Oh spin me around, yeah you love the sound

Of the jukebox stereo coming in loud

I’m vinyl, let your needle touch my groove.”

About JoLivi
Born and raised in the Hawaii Islands, JoLivi’s love for country music started at a young age. While some may not correlate country music and the aloha state, the rural landscapes and laid-back lifestyle emulate everything we love about the genre. JoLivi caught the music bug at a young age and quickly began singing wherever she had a chance. After graduating with a Theatre degree from Colorado State, JoLivi decided it was time to make the move to LA to pursue her music career full time.
While in LA, Jo Livi had the opportunity to open for artists including Andy Grammar, Gavin DeGraw, Lindsey Stirling and more alongside the release of four singles garnering more than 670K views on YouTube and 20K streams on Spotify. Her vocal chops turned critics heads with Perez Hilton stating she possessed ‘star potential’ and alt radio stations around the US spinning her singles.
Now residing in Nashville and working closely with Johnny Garcia (Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood), JoLivi has released two country singles “Take a Shot” and “Crooked Crown” with the music video for “Crooked Crown” in regular rotation on The Country Network. With ‘the contemporary appeal of Maren Morris, vocal strength and uniqueness of Melissa Etheridge and the grit of Bonnie Rait’ (Country Music Tattle Tale), JoLivi is gearing up to release her brand new single entitled “Vinyl” on March 9th.

Taylor Swift Isn’t Holding Back on New Single “Look What You Made Me Do” – Listen and Discuss!

Taylor Swift is back and she is not holding back in her first single “Look What You Made Me Do” off her highly anticipated 6th studio album Reputation. While many might have thought her new album would talk about her romance with Calvin Harris whom she dated for over a year, the song actually swipes back at (mostly) the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian beef.

This was obvious from her promo with the snakes since that’s the whole reason she was being called one. She fully embracing the criticism, so much so that’s she’s selling snake merchandise! There’s one way to turn a negative into a positive.

LISTEN TO TAYLOR SWIFT’S NEW SINGLE “LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO”

The song was written by Taylor Swift with co-writes by Jack Antonoff and Right Said Fred  even earned credit whose song was sampled “I’m Too Sexy.”

Let’s take a look at the lyrics!

Lyrics:

I don’t like your little games
Don’t like your tilted stage
The role you made me play
Of the fool, no, I don’t like you
I don’t like your perfect crime
How you laugh when you lie
You said the gun was mine
Isn’t cool, no, I don’t like you (oh!)

*Note* It feels like in the first verse she is definitely swiping at Kimye. His titled tour stage, the fact he called her a “Bitch” in his song and Kim releases secretly recorded phone calls but not the entire thing (made her look like a fool). It’s a pretty good mix of half West and half Kardashian in the first verse.

[Pre-Chorus]
But I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time
Honey, I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time
I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red underlined
I check it once, then I check it twice, oh!

*Note* The pre-chorus seems like a warning of what’s to come. She rose up from the dead, and does it all the time. How many times has she been attacked in the media? Dragged by countless verified twitter users and other influential people? Then the last two lines of the pre-chorus mentions there is a list of names, so it’s not just 1-2 people here who have hurt her, abused her, used her and betrayed her. But West already hurt her once, when he stormed the stage during the 2009 VMAs. CHeck one. They made up and then he releases a vulgar song about her. Check two (mate).

[Chorus]
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
Ooh, look what you made me do
Look what you made me do
Look what you just made me do
Look what you just made me do
[Verse 2]
I don’t like your kingdom keys
They once belonged to me
You ask me for a place to sleep
Locked me out and threw a feast (what?)
The world goes on, another day, another drama, drama
But not for me, not for me, all I think about is karma
And then the world moves on, but one thing’s for sure
Maybe I got mine, but you’ll all get yours

*Note* Verse 2 might enter a completely different occurrence with different people/person. Could it be about her past romance? It would seem justifiable. Or could it be about other friends who have betrayed her? It could collectively be about multiple people, Swift does love a little mystery.

Here’s a fun tidbit though. Swift samples the song “Operate” from Peaches which is a song that also plays in the movie Mean Girls. Let’s not forget Katy Perry once tweeted not to trust the “Regina George in sheep’s clothing” in reference to Swift.

As Swift points out, Karma is real.

That’s why this song isn’t necessarily just about one person. It’s a warning of things to come. There are 15 tracks on this album and it’s clear Swift isn’t in sheep’s clothing anymore.
[Bridge]
I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I’ll be the actress, starring in your bad dreams
I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I’ll be the actress, starring in your bad dreams
I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I’ll be the actress, starring in your bad dreams
I don’t trust nobody and nobody trusts me
I’ll be the actress, starring in your bad dreams
(Look what you made me do)
(Look what you made me do)
“I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now.”
“Why?”
“Oh ’cause she’s dead!”

Look out world. She’s coming and she doesn’t care what you think.

Taylor Swift’s is About to Show The World What They Don’t See With New Album ‘Reputation’

Holy Swift, a new era is upon us! Taylor Swift announced her 6th studio album which officially has a name, Reputation. The album is due out November 10th, exactly 3 years after the release of her single “Blank Space.” The significance? “Blank Space” was all about the “Taylor Swift” the media saw and portrayed. They made her out to be this crazy/boy obsessed dating machine. Although we don’t know much about Reputation, here’s what we do:

Swift started the promo to her new album by releasing parts of a snake video. The final video revealed that it was indeed a snake! The significance? After some Kimye drama last year, Swift’s social media accounts were flooded with Snake emojis. In other words, they were saying Swift is two faced, a backstabber, sneaky and deceptive.

Swift didn’t come to play and is known for taking something negative and turning it into a positive. Just take her song “Mean” for example. It was inspired by a journalist who tore Swift to shreds after her GRAMMY performance with Stevie Nicks, who normally sung her praises. Swift went on to receive two GRAMMYs for that song. Iconic.

What else do we know about Reputation? Well, the font used is the same that Kanye West used for his album Life of Pablo. Swift is not taking this one lying down. After West wrote an explicit song saying that she owed him sex, because he made her famous, and calling her explicit words, she is taken back the narrative.

The album cover also features a very confident Swift. She isn’t backing down, she isn’t covering her face. Her bangs have been slicked back, she’s staring at everyone head on. Half her face is also covered in newspaper font, which could quite possibly refer to all of the media and headlines about her that are only filled with half-truths.

Swift’s social media outlets were recently wiped clean, everything from Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram and even her official website. The coding on her website said “IveGotABlankSpace” with more coding that said “ThatsWhatTheyDontSee” which are lyrics from her song “Shake It Off.” Both songs were in reference to the media, and haters and judgment. So who exactly is the Taylor Swift the public doesn’t see? She’s about to let the world know on November 10, 2017 when her 6th studio album drops!

Her new single “Look What You Made Me Do” is out now! Watch the lyric video:
