Raelynn Releases Powerful New Single “Love Triangle” Inspired By Her Parent’s Divorce- Listen

2016 has been a big year for Raelynn. The 22 year-old married Josh Davis, left Big Machine Records and Joined Warner Music Nashville, and now the next milestone. Raelynn released her new single “Love Triangle” on Monday. For longtime fans of The Texas native, the release of “Love Triangle” has been a long time coming! Raelynn has been performing the song on radio tours and in concert for some time now. It has yet to appear on a album till now.

“Love Triangle” is a autobiographical song that was written by Raelynn, Jimmy Robbins and Nicolle Galyon. Galyon is actually the reason Raelynn auditioned for The Voice, and since The Voice which both of them competed on, the two have penned most of Raelynn’s songs together.

The song which was written several years ago, and is a look at how a divorce affects the child in the situation. While most people would think love triangle applies to a romantic relationship, Raelynn sings about how she’s in a love triangle with her parents.

With lyrics such as: Southern Belle statue /Standing in the screen door / Watching her whole world / Head for an old ford / With a man that can’t look her in the eye / The I run, to him / Big hug, jump in / And I cry for her / Out the window and the lyrics Patsy Cline echoes back off the dashboard / Staring at my boots and the dusty old floorboards / Baby, two weeks ain’t really all that long. / Then I run, to her / Wrap my arms, around her skirt / And I cry for him out the window.

“Love Triangle” Is a unique look at what a child of divorce sometimes goes though and the feeling of being stuck in a middle is something they sometimes face. That feeling is what led Raelynn to write the song; she was 18, living in Nashville and she found her self in the middle of her parent’s issues. She took those feelings and wrote her pain at the situation into a song.

“Love Triangle” only shows a fraction of the growth Raelynn has achieved since The Voice. Gone are the big dresses and long hair with a flower in it. In its place is a short haired, spit fire who is ready to show the world who she is at 22. She told CMT Canada about her struggle with her image and how the commituty of Nashville sees her

“I feel like Nashville has watched me grow up in front of them, which is cool but it kind of sucks at the same time because you get pigeonholed, like, ‘Oh she’s the girl with the long hair that wears fairy dresses.’ That was me at one point because I was new and I was young. But we all grow up. We experience life, and I’ve done that. I moved here, I lived on my own, I lived in an apartment with a roommate, and now I’m married and have two dogs. So, your life changes, and this record shows that.”

Raelynn is busy working on putting together her debut album. She is leaning heavily on her former The Voice mentor and new label mate Blake Shelton.

“A lot of the record he’s helped me pick. Anytime I’d write a new song and I was passionate about it, I’d send it to Blake … I feel like every artist in this town, they have to have somebody that supports them and helps them. It takes a village and it takes people to support you. Blake’s been that for me. And honestly, I don’t know if I’d be here right now with all the fans, notoriety and relationships I’ve created, if it wasn’t for him, his love for me as a person and his love for my music. I’ll just never forget him turning that red chair around for me, hugging me and whispering in my ear, ‘I’m going to help you no matter what.’ And he meant it. And I’ll still hold that near and dear to my heart every day.”

“Love Triangle” is avabalie on most digital retailers! Raelynn is spending her summer and fall on tour with her former mentor Blake Shelton! More information can be found at raelynnoffical.com

Darius Rucker is back with a new single! “If I Told You” is the lead single from his 5th studio album. Rucker displays the same raw emotion that was present in his first #1 “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.”

“If I Told You” is about a man putting it all out there for the one he loves and trying to show that person how much they mean to him. The song is reminiscent of the ballads of the 90’s. “If I Told You” has a simple melody but is also very strong lyrically and heartfelt. Rucker’s vocals shine on this track.

Lyrics such as:

If I told you all the stupid things I’ve done / I’d blamed on being young/But I was old enough to know, I know / If I told you the mess that I can be / When there’s no one there to see / Would you look the other way, cause you love me anyway?

Make this song one of the most heartfelt and emotional songs that Rucker has put out.

Rucker shared why he recorded the song and talks about how it touched him.

“I always tell people, the first time I heard [the Black Crowes’] ‘She Talks To Angels,’ those lyrics did something to me. I probably requested that song eight times at different bars in Columbia, S.C. before going home, putting on Bonnie Raitt’s Home Plate, and trying to write ‘She Talks To Angels’ for Bonnie Raitt. ‘Let Her Cry’ just poured out, For me, ‘If I Told You,’ inspired me like ‘Angels’ as it’s not a song I wrote, but as a songwriter I would not change a line as it moves me to want to not only sing along but also as a songwriter it inspires a new perspective.”

Rucker also goes onto talk about his excitement of starting the new record and stepping outside of his comfort zone.

“What I love about each album is the opportunity to expand on what we’ve done in the past—to push myself and the band creatively, vocally and lyrically. At the end of the day, I’m a fan of great stories and great songs. With ‘Wagon Wheel’ I loved the visual it painted and it’s a song I can truly say I look forward to performing every night. With ‘If I Told You,’ I can’t wait to share in that vulnerability with the fans from the stage night-after-night.”

Exclusive: The Inspiration Behind Chase Rice’s New Single “Everybody We Know Does”

Chase Rice, who co-wrote Florida Georgia Line‘s hit song “Cruise,” returns with his new single “Everybody We Know Does.” Rice is passionate about this song and it’s easy to see why! It’s an anthem of being proud of who you are and how you grew up. img_2580

“Everybody We Know Does” was written by Jeremy Bussey and Travis Denning. Bussey told Variety Beat the inspiration behind the song:

“I was talking to a few people from Canada one night a couple of years ago; about growing up, shooting guns and life in the south in general. I didn’t realize they didn’t do any of that. One girl asked me, “So does everyone have guns where you come from?” I said, “Everybody I know does.” I thought it was funny, so it stuck with me. Travis Denning and I were writing one day and I threw that idea out there. Travis immediately came up with “Not everybody throws their empties in a truck bed…” Then we just wrote about the stuff we actually grew up doing and apparently other folks do that stuff too!

Rice spoke to everythingcountry.com about the single:

“These last few years have been a whirlwind, being out on the road building our live show and working on new music for the next record. I’ve lived a lot and had some incredible experiences and opportunities, but I’ve also been spending some time out at my farm, just unplugging for a bit and reflecting on what music means to me and what it means to all of the people who have shown up and supported me over the years, That’s why this song, ‘Everybody We Know Does,’ is really special to me. We went in and recorded it with some of Nashville’s top studio musicians, so it’s our sound and our lives reflected in this song. It’s who we are, and that’s ultimately what brings us all together.”

With lyrics such as “Not everybody likes a Friday night covered in dust/ But everybody we know does.” Rice starts off with a little grit in his voice and smooths out his sound as the chorus comes around.

That’s what we do, that’s what we love / That’s how we were raised, how we grew up / Runs deep in our veins, way down in our blood / Everybody we know does

“Everybody We Know Does” is the perfect mix that makes for a unique sound as the electric guitar riffs and drum beats take over! It will definitely make waves on radio and become a hit for Rice along with the writers!

I’m talkin’ red hot, wet kiss fallin’ off your lips / I’m talkin’ red hot, red dress hangin’ off your hips / I’m talkin’ back seat heartbeat pounding in my chest / I’m seein’ red.

The lyrics paint a clear picture of what kind of song it is; flirty, fun and a great summer hit!
