LISTEN TO JAMIE LYNN SPEARS “SLEEPOVER”

“Sleepover” is in-between being uptempo and a ballad. It’s not afraid to embrace a solid guitar lead and Spears’ twang. The song shows vulnerability of wanting more than just a one night stand and wanting to be romanced while getting to know the other person.

Taking me out, treating me like a lady / Figuring out do I want to be your baby? / Give me that old school dinner for two.

The lyrics paint a picture of a possible budding romance, as long as the other party plays their cards  right. “This is no sleepover”  Spear sings as she lets him know that there are proper steps to take before reaching that next level. Spears has found a way to mix an insanely catchy song and an important message for both males and females.

Stephanie Quayle Releases “Drinking With Dolly” Lyric Video – Watch!

Stephanie Quayle who we had the pleasure of talking to at CMAfest just released her lyric video for her single “Drinking With Dolly!” The lyric video shows a scene that is common these days, a young woman listening to country music from decades before her birth, wishing she had been around for it to hang out with the legendary woman of country.

I’d go drinking with Dolly After the Opry Pour one for Tammy too Put on my rhinestones Paint up my nails Kick up my dancing shoes Hey there Loretta Put a quarter in the jukebox / We’ll sing along with you And talk about men Cuz that’s what women do

The song itself is very solid, and a great throwback to the past and pays tribute to the  ladies of Country Music. The women that made it possible for Quayle and others like her to  make it in country music. “Drinking With Dolly” does well in merging the older country music with the new, which makes the song appealing for listeners of all ages.

Another exciting thing happening for Quayle is that she is in the top 5 of  Macy’s Rising Star contest! The winner will get to perform at the 2016  Iheart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas! Ryan Follesé Signs With Big Machine Records, Releases First Single “Float Your Boat”

Ryan Follesé announced on June 15th  that he’s going country!

The Hot Chelle Rae front man took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to announce that he had signed with Big Machine Records. His first single “Float Your Boat” was released Friday, June 17 and could easily become a summer anthem with its playful lyrics and strong beat. It has the lyrical strength of his former band’s, but it’s paired with a more country sound.

Some fans may recognize Follesé from his years as the front man for the Nashville based Pop band Hot Chelle Rae. The band shot to fame when their song “Tonight Tonight” became a summertime hit in 2011. The band put their music on hold when Ian Keaggy left the group in the fall of 2013.

Hot Chelle Rae also toured with Taylor Swift during the Australian and New Zealand leg of her Speak Now Tour. Follesé and his former band mate Nash Overstreet teamed up with Swift on her parody “A Thug Story” for the 2009  CMT awards.

Follesé has a couple other ties to Nashville and country music. His parents are respected songwriters and his father Keith Follesé has penned hits such as Tim McGraw’s “Something Like That” and his mother Adrienne Follesé wrote Lady Antebellum “Long Gone”  among other songs. It’s no surprise that Follesé is following in their country music footsteps.

No word yet on when Follesé’s country album will drop, but he did let fans know that he’s been working on it for almost a year.

Hot Chelle Rae took to Facebook Live to announce that the band is still together but that they are all working on different projects right now. No word on when they will put out music together as a band.
