News broke Friday that Adam Levine will not be returning as a coach next season on NBC’s The Voice.
“Our friend and coach Adam Levine made the decision not to return next season,” read a statement put out by The Voice’s official Twitter handle. “We’re going to miss Adam but The Voice is family and with family it’s ‘see you soon,’ never ‘goodbye.’”
The Maroon 5 frontman shared similar sentiments in a lengthy Instagram post.
“I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life,” he said. “Thank you to every single coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is shared experience that is singularly ours. We have that for life.”
Levine also thanked The Voice host Carson Daly, the crew, and the fans for their support, promising he’ll “be back to say hi very very soon.”
Following Levine’s decision to exit The Voice, his fellow coaches took to social media to react.
“Having a hard time wrapping my head around @adamlevine not being at @NBCTheVoice anymore,” Blake Shelton tweeted. “I only found out about this yesterday and it still hasn’t set in on me yet.”
Having a hard time wrapping my head around @adamlevine not being at @NBCTheVoice anymore. After 16 seasons that changed both of ours lives. I only found out about this yesterday and it hasn’t set in on me yet. Gonna miss working with that idiot.
“I get that he’s been doing the show for a while and wants to step away, it will be weird showing up for work and he’s not there,” Kelly Clarkson said. “To start an amazing show from the ground up is a big deal!”

In the same statement sharing the news of Adam’s exit, The Voice announced that former coach Gwen Stefani will be back in his place this fall.
Although we’ll miss seeing Adam on the show, we wish him the best in the next phase of career and we thank him for his mentorship during the past 16 seasons!

Born March 12, 1994, Christina Grimmie came into this world knowing she was destined to sing and share her gift of music. Grimmie started out on YouTube and was a natural sensation, instantly growing followers every day. She sang covers and originals on her channel and even acted like a goofball showing that she is as normal as everyone. Grimmie was one of the most humble people you would want to know. She spent countless hours playing Smash Brothers online with her frands (name for fans).
Grimmie would go on to release her first EP I in 2011. In 2013 she would release her first full length album called With Love. Eventually, this would propel the star to get noticed by the music industry and during auditions for season 6 of The Voice, the world was introduced to the amazing vocalist. Grimmie got a four chair-turn during her audition with her cover of “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus. With the ultimate opportunity of picking her own coach, she chose Adam Levine and went all the way to the finals where she took 3rd place for the show. During the finale,Levine announced that win or lose, he will sign Grimmie to his label. Grimmie went on to sign with Island Records and in 2015, she was named the iHeart Radio/ Macy’s Rising Star and performed at the 2015 iHeart Radio Music Awards.
In early 2016 Grimmie released her second EP Side A saying that there might be a Side B down the line. In June of 2016 Grimmie was doing a concert in Orlando, FL with the group Before You Exit. During a Meet and Greet after the show, a man came up and opened fired on Grimmie, shooting her multiple times which led to the singer’s death. At the end of 2016 Grimmie won the Teen Choice Award for 2016 Choice Web Star: Music.
In early 2017 it was announced Grimmie was posthumously signed to a major record deal with label Republic Records. The first single would be released on February 17th titled “Invisible” with a full album in the works from previously recorded songs by the late singer. Along with the release of the single was a lyric video which can be seen below.
All net funds raised by the sale of the single would go to establish the Christina Grimmie Foundation. See the link below to purchase “Invisible”.
2016 has been a big year for Raelynn. The 22 year-old married Josh Davis, left Big Machine Records and Joined Warner Music Nashville, and now the next milestone. Raelynn released her new single “Love Triangle” on Monday. For longtime fans of The Texas native, the release of “Love Triangle” has been a long time coming! Raelynn has been performing the song on radio tours and in concert for some time now. It has yet to appear on a album till now.
“Love Triangle” is a autobiographical song that was written by Raelynn, Jimmy Robbins and Nicolle Galyon. Galyon is actually the reason Raelynn auditioned for The Voice, and since The Voice which both of them competed on, the two have penned most of Raelynn’s songs together.
The song which was written several years ago, and is a look at how a divorce affects the child in the situation. While most people would think love triangle applies to a romantic relationship, Raelynn sings about how she’s in a love triangle with her parents.
With lyrics such as: Southern Belle statue /Standing in the screen door / Watching her whole world / Head for an old ford / With a man that can’t look her in the eye / The I run, to him / Big hug, jump in / And I cry for her / Out the window and the lyrics Patsy Cline echoes back off the dashboard / Staring at my boots and the dusty old floorboards / Baby, two weeks ain’t really all that long. / Then I run, to her / Wrap my arms, around her skirt / And I cry for him out the window.
“Love Triangle” Is a unique look at what a child of divorce sometimes goes though and the feeling of being stuck in a middle is something they sometimes face. That feeling is what led Raelynn to write the song; she was 18, living in Nashville and she found her self in the middle of her parent’s issues. She took those feelings and wrote her pain at the situation into a song.
“Love Triangle” only shows a fraction of the growth Raelynn has achieved since The Voice. Gone are the big dresses and long hair with a flower in it. In its place is a short haired, spit fire who is ready to show the world who she is at 22. She told CMT Canada about her struggle with her image and how the commituty of Nashville sees her
“I feel like Nashville has watched me grow up in front of them, which is cool but it kind of sucks at the same time because you get pigeonholed, like, ‘Oh she’s the girl with the long hair that wears fairy dresses.’ That was me at one point because I was new and I was young. But we all grow up. We experience life, and I’ve done that. I moved here, I lived on my own, I lived in an apartment with a roommate, and now I’m married and have two dogs. So, your life changes, and this record shows that.”
Raelynn is busy working on putting together her debut album. She is leaning heavily on her former The Voice mentor and new label mate Blake Shelton.
“A lot of the record he’s helped me pick. Anytime I’d write a new song and I was passionate about it, I’d send it to Blake … I feel like every artist in this town, they have to have somebody that supports them and helps them. It takes a village and it takes people to support you. Blake’s been that for me. And honestly, I don’t know if I’d be here right now with all the fans, notoriety and relationships I’ve created, if it wasn’t for him, his love for me as a person and his love for my music. I’ll just never forget him turning that red chair around for me, hugging me and whispering in my ear, ‘I’m going to help you no matter what.’ And he meant it. And I’ll still hold that near and dear to my heart every day.”
“Love Triangle” is avabalie on most digital retailers! Raelynn is spending her summer and fall on tour with her former mentor Blake Shelton! More information can be found at raelynnoffical.com
Blake Shelton celebrated his 40th Birthday at Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO this weekend and he had a huge surprise for the crowd! His girlfriend Gwen Stefani came out to perform their duet “Go Ahead And Break My Heart” from Shelton’s new album If I’m Honest.
Thank all of y’all for the birthday wishes!!!!!! Too many to count!!! I love y’all
“This is fun! Y’all have been so freakin’ nice to me on my 40th birthday and I guess if I had one birthday wish for me personally … I wish I could rock. I wish I was one of those type of artists that could rock but I can’t. For my birthday I wish I could hear an artist who could rock, that’s my birthday wish.”
The crowd was also treated to Stefani singing her band No Doubt’s hit song “Hella Good.” Earlier in the day Shelton had revealed in his meet and greet line that Stefani had decorated his plane for his birthday (birthday goals).
