Going to Route 91 Harvest was driven by the sole reason that Country Artist Kelleigh Bannen was performing! She is after all one of our favorite artists/people to ever exist! We last saw her performing in June at CMA Fest and quite frankly, that entirely too long! She’s a gem and we feel lucky to have found her.
Bannen’s time in Las Vegas was short lived but not without exciting memories. I mean, who else got to share a nightcap with a RAT?!
Bannen kicked off the ‘Next From Nashville’ stage for day 2 of Route 91 Harvest and she did not disappoint! She performed songs off her EP including “Cheap Sunglasses,” Once Upon A,” “Landlocked” and even rapped TLC‘s “Waterfalls.” She ended her set with a very Vegas-esque song “Smoke When I Drink.”

After her set, Bannen even took time to meet all the fans who wanted to say hi and get a picture with the singer/songwriter. She shared more on social media later, including videos on her Instagram story where she watched Maren Morris and Sam Hunt from backstage! Clearly, she had no fun at all!

Hosted by CMT’s Cody Alan, the night included performances and appearances by Billy Gilman, Kree Harrison, Ryan Kinder, Runaway June, Michael Ray, Street Corner Symphony, Thompson Square, Trent Harmon, Mickey Guyton, and comedian Dana Goldberg, Noah Guthrie, Ken Block of Sister Hazel, and Kingston, former Everyday Sunday member, Trey Pearson, and European popstar, Bastian Baker, who became the first international artist to participate in the event.

Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning artist Ty Herndon created this event, when his 20th anniversary fan-club party turned into a gathering in support of Nashville’s at-risk youth. The driving force behind the benefit is Herndon’s desire to foster positive cultural change, encourage Nashville’s youth to live to their fullest potential, and to celebrate tolerance, love and acceptance for everyone.
About the Concert for Love and Acceptance: In November of 2014, Ty Herndon became the first major male country artist to publicly come out as gay. Shortly after, he made history when he hosted this first-of-its-kind event, The Concert for Love & Acceptance. The inaugural event received national attention from Boston Globe, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Tonight, People Magazine and more. A philanthropist at heart, Herndon has also donated his time to organizations such as the Trevor Project, Make A Wish, St. Jude, GLAAD, HRC and Feed the Children.

Ty Herndon’s second annual 2017 Concert for Love and Acceptance brought together a coalition of musicians and celebrities, for a night filled with incredible entertainment in support of Nashville’s at-risk youth. The proceeds of the event went directly to benefit Nashville’s own Oasis Center.

Taylor Swift‘s Super Saturday Night concert finally happened! It was a night that we will remember “All Too Well,” a song that Swift performed especially for the fans, who chanted it out last year during her only concert of 2016 in Austin, TX.

Swift’s cats even made the trip to show their support backstage. By support, that clearly means no one else is allowed in the dressing room.
On stage, Taylor revealed to the audience that she would not be going on tour this coming year when she said:
“I want to be really honest with you. As far as I know I’m doing one show in 2017 and as far as I know this is that one show. By coming to this show tonight you are officially attending 100% of this years tour date.”
Prior to Swift’s headlining performance, actress Ruby Rose amped up the crowd and hit the turntables for a DJ performance in front of a packed house of celebrities, NFL athletes and invited guests. Swift captivatedthe audience with first time performances of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and “Better Man.” She made sure to tell the crowd that Zayn sadly was not there, and she didn’t want them to get their hopes up, but that she was there to sing “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and the crowd erupted in cheers, because she is who they came for.

After a full year of performing her 1989 World Tour, Taylor Swift just performed her only concert of 2016 at Formula 1! Energy was high and the crowd was 100,000 strong for the concert! Swift just got a cold and told the crowd “Of course you play one show in one year and you get a cold one time and it’s before that one show, that’s the way life works.
Swift also performed the song she wrote for Calvin Harris, “This Is What You Came For” and told the crowd:
“As a songwriter, the most rewarding feeling, in the world is writing something and then having a crowd sing it back to you because they know the words. It’s the coolest thing in the world. I’ve never played this song live before, but if you know it, maybe you could sing along and then I could get to know what that feels like, to hear it sung back to me.”
