It’s been a minute since we’ve been able to see Katie Armiger perform, no thanks to her former label Cold Rivers trying to blacklist her from the industry. Armiger has found her path, is going to College and working on new music! She hasn’t stopped fighting for her voice or for her music. The road may be long, the battle tough, but in the end, the truth will prevail.

Armiger performed some of her older material, along with new songs like “Keep It All Together” and a cover of Camila Cabello‘s “Never Be The Same.”

It’s such a strength and a testimony to hear the new music and see the creations that have been pent-up for the last few years. This is just the beginning of another road, and although Armiger has released many albums in the past, we have a feeling that the future ones are going to be even better.

Today is none other than the beautiful and talented Katie Armiger‘s Birthday! We had the chance to catch up with Armiger last month at her show and we sat down for an interview!

Armiger has been busy with shows the last couple of months, playing new music for fans around the country! We hope that she is taking time for herself today, because she deserves to be spoiled!

CMA Fest is pretty much the best week(end) of the year. There is no other festival that has the magnitude of Country Artists involved. If you are a Country Music Artist, chances are you are doing something at CMA Fest. The other wonderful part about that glorious weekend is that it’s sometimes the only chance you have to see some of your favorite artists. A lot of them aren’t able to travel to every city or aren’t on a major tour, so seeing them is rare. That’s why every year, going to CMA Fest is a must!

Thankfully, Variety Beat was able to catch up with one of our favorite Female Country Artists, Katie Armiger last month and see her again at CMA Fest! Armiger had three performances during the weekend and we were able to be at two of them!

Armiger performed at the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum and even paid tribute to Nelson by performing “Always On My Mind.”

Gallery: Katie Armiger Plays 2 New Songs At Nashville Unplugged! – Watch

After our interview with the lovely Katie Armiger, we were able to catch her show! She was joined by two other songwriters as they took turns telling the stories behind their songs. It’s what’s known as a songwriters round and this particular one is called Nashville Unplugged. It’s always interesting to know the stories behind the songs, especially when songs weren’t written by the artist who sings them. Many times it’s done by these amazing songwriters we never really get the opportunity to know.

Armiger plays a song called “Safe” that also has a special place in my life, as it was the song I danced to at my wedding during the first dance. It’s also one that was co-written with singer/songwriter Mallary Hope and was used to thank firefighters nationwide.
