Jason Aldean just released the video for his new single “Lights Come On” and it’s a love letter to the fans. Which is fitting given all the milestones Aldean has surpassed at this point in his career. “Lights Come On” was written by Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line along with Jordan Schmidt, Jimmy Robbins, Brad and Brett Warren. The song is a perfect fit for Aldean who is a road warrior, this year alone he’s on the road from mid-January till the end of October.

The song encompasses what a concert feels like; it captures the environment of a show perfectly. Right down to the way the air changes right before someone goes on and how it’s always one big party of love and laughter. The song has some great lyrics that are reminisce of songs that can be found on FGL’s albums but Aldean makes the song his own by adding his signature heavy guitar riffs and solid drum beats. The song even gives a shout out to his fans, thanking them for showing up and spending their hard earned money on his concerts and music.

Aldean and the boys about to blow it up, haha
It’s fitting that this song was premiered on the ACM’s earlier this year. That night Aldean hit a new career high, he was crowned the ACM Entertainer Of The Year, Something that had alluded him ’til that point.

The video is mainly shots from his tour, but there is some added footage, such as voice over monologue from Aldean and a few shots of him in the desert or in his bus. All of the scenes put together makes the video seem like a mini movie.

“Lights Come On” is the lead single from Aldean’s next album which at the moment is unnamed and has no release date, but rumored to drop this fall. Until then, Aldean has more than enough to keep him busy, his Six String Circus Tour just kicked off last month and he’s scheduled to be out on it till October. He’s also slated to be part of the Good Morning America‘s concert series on August 26th. Aldean is also busy producing Tyler Farr‘s newest album as well as gearing up for another season of his reality show Buck Commander!
It’s safe to say Aldean isn’t going to be slowing down anytime soon and there is a lot of exciting things still to come!
