In advance of the release, NPR Music is premiering the title track today, praising, “At its best, country music is a preserve for the up-close and personal. From Merle Haggard to Miranda Lambert, the genre’s most powerful storytellers illuminate big subjects like family, love or work by focusing on small details unfolding in kitchens, on back porches or in farm fields. ‘The Beginning Of Things,’ the title track from Charlie Worsham’s excellent upcoming second album, demonstrates this art with uncommon grace and intelligence.” NPR Music’s Ann Powers continues, “His understated, warm vocal exudes sympathy, exactly nailing the part in the storytelling process where words are shaped by phrasing and intonation. Behind him, an ace band…crafts an environment that’s simple and inviting, encouraging the listener to sit back and think about what’s being said.”

As a special preview to fans, the title track along with four additional new songs will be available at all digital services beginning this Friday, January 27 and will be included as instant downloads with each album pre-order.

Of the album, Worsham comments:
We had so much fun! I had fallen out of love with music, and making this record put me back in love with it on a level I hadn’t felt since I was a teenager. Beginning Of Things was a challenge in surrendering control and trusting my own talent. I’m confident that these songs and these recordings capture my musical geography and personal truth, and at the end of the day, I’m convinced that is the ultimate purpose of an artistto speak one’s truth.”

Charlie Worsham Teases New Album And Goes To Capitol Hill

It’s been 3 years since Charlie Worsham released his debut album Rubberband. Looks like the wait may be close to over! Worsham sent out a series of tweets on June 19, 2016 giving fans a little bit of news.

CHARLIE WORSHAM AND KRISTIAN BUSH TAKE CAPITOL HILL!

We were lucky enough to attend Worsham’s annual Donuts and Jam at CMAfest this year, and he spoke of a new album and even played a couple songs that may be on the upcoming album. While there is still no word of a release date, Worsham does have plans for this year. In the fall he will be heading overseas to open for country legend Kenny Rogers! Embed from Getty Images

Worsham had a busy week at Nashville’s biggest party! Thursday-Saturday night he did a late night jamboree at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broadway. The event drew a large crowd and some big names! The Friday night edition of the event seen Brandy Clark and Eric Church showing up! It drew so many people that cops had to do crowd control and turn people away.

Charlie took to his twitter the next day, reaching out to some of the fans who had been turned away ensuring they would get to see the Saturday night show. He also announced a change in venue instead of one of the oldest record shops in town the Saturday night show would be in Warner Music pop up store. The Saturday night show featured guests Hunter Hayes and Kid Rock among others.  Worsham proved you didn’t need to be part of the stadium show to show fans love. He did it his own way with his late night jams and early morning donuts!

On June 23rd, Worsham was in Washingtion D.C. Meeting with different  representative and congress from his home state  of Mississippi! He is talking to them about music education! His day is being documented on the Country Music Assocation’s snapchat (cmasnaps)!

Kristian Bush joined Worsham in D.C. and the two put on quite a concert for every one!

2nd Annual ‘Party For A Cause’ Recap- April 2014

The 2nd Annual Party For A Cause Festival was just as fun as the first! This year was wonderful for me because I was able to enjoy the performances as well as meet the talent! It was wild, they would perform and then sometimes right after come over to meet the fans. I mean, how great is that?!

The first person I got to see was one of my favorites, Charlie Worsham! He was also at the 1st annual PFAC.

I got to watch him perform as he got things kicked off for the first day!

I saw many other great performers that weekend like Love and Theft!

There was even a set up red carpet to take pictures with artists as well! Brett Eldredge, Will Hoge, Austin Webb and Tyler Farr were there!

It was a jam packed two days and I can’t believe how many amazing artists took the time to be there and meet all the fans! Cassadee Pope was there again for a second year, Danielle Bradbery, Randy Houser, Leah Turner, Eastin Corbin,  and Chase Rice! WOW!

After two days of jam packed music I headed over to the ACM Awards and got to meet more amazing artists on the red carpet! My Favorites! Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift!

What a weekend! Cannot wait for the fourth annual celebration, April 1-3!
