Little Big Town + Taylor Swift’s “Better Man” Earns 2nd Week at #1!

Little Big Town‘s lead single from their new album The Breaker (out now) spends a second week at #1! The tune was penned by none other than Taylor Swift and the group has had a lot to say about the songwriter! This is the group’s third single to reach #1!

(Phillip) “I think we wanted people to hear the song without any preconceived ideas. Let the song stand on its own two legs. It’s a beautifully written song, and that was really, out of respect, let it be heard that way.”

(Jimi) “Taylor is the biggest pop star in the world. Along with that title comes a lot of extra things, people wanting to know who she wrote the song about, and all these other conversations, other than the song, which was a beautifully written song, which Taylor does well. So we wanted the song to stand on its own merits, because it’s a great song, and she’s a great writer.  I think she kinda liked that.”

(Kimberley) “She’s such an amazing songwriter, for her as a songwriter, to have the song come out and be accepted, and blow up before they found out who wrote it meant everything to her as a songwriter.” – Country Countdown USA

A Must Listen, Liddy Clark’s Cover of “Better Man”

The hottest song right now is definitely “Better Man” sung by Little Big Town and written by Taylor Swift. The song is currently sitting at #10 on the Country charts and is one of the fastest rising songs.

Country starlett, Liddy Clark has released her version of this powerful song. Clark has performed at festivals like CMA Fest and is quickly gaining fans over social media as she releases cover videos of meaningful songs.

I know I’m probably better off on my own
Than lovin’ a man who didn’t know
What he had when he had it
And I see the permanent damage you did to me
Never again, I just wish I could forget when it was magic
I wish it wasn’t four am, standing in the mirror
Saying to myself, you know you had to do it I know
The bravest thing I ever did was run

Sometimes, in the middle of the night, I can feel you again
But I just miss you, and I just wish you were a better man
And I know why we had to say goodbye
Like the back of my hand
And I just miss you, and I just wish you were a better man
A better man

All through the opening numbers as an artist finished they stayed on the stage but moved to the background which led to the magical moment that took place at the end of the opening number. Paisley and Underwood brought Randy Travis to the stage and sang his hit song “Forever and Ever Amen” with Travis finishing the song out with the very last word Amen which was a miracle in its self since just a few months ago it was believed Travis would never sing again because of a stroke he suffered in 2013.
