Thompson Square Finished Recording 3rd Studio Album!

Good news for Thompson Square fans who have long been awaiting a new album from the Country Duo! The married couple, have finished recording their 3rd studio album! Shawna and Keifer Thompson sent out a blog update, letting fans know the music was finished! There is no word yet on a release date, but they will be doing an acoustic tour called This is Us! Check out the update below and blog update!

Hey everybody, we’re back among the living. I know it’s been a minute since we’ve blogged but we’re back and are going to continue to keep our most dedicated fans updated on everything Thompson Square. So much has changed for in our lives over the past 3 years. As many of you know we were blessed with Cooper, our son 20 months ago and he has been the center of our universe. Getting ready for him then having him and now getting used to this little person being a part of our life has been an adjustment but all we can say is that it has by far been the most amazing, rewarding thing we have ever known.

It’s been nearly 5 years since we’ve given you guys a new album and that is also changing. We’ve recently finished our 3rd studio album and we believe it’s the best record we’ve ever made. Working with producer Nathan Chapman has been a completely different process and so much fun. With no restraints we have been able to record the songs that we wanted and what we believe you will really dig. We can’t wait for you to hear it.

We’ve started a weekly live feed on Facebook every Wednesday called “WinoWednesday.” It’s a chance for us to talk to you directly and play all kinds of music both new and old and even some covers that you request. So grab a glass of wine and your favorite pair of sunglasses and join us every Wednesday. Times will vary but it’s usually 9pm CT. We’ll have special guests from time to time too. It’s a lot of fun.

October is Thompson Scare month. Post a picture of your pumpkin or your Halloween costume with the #ThompsonScare and you’ll have a chance to win prizes from us.  See all the details on our Facebook page or Instagram. This is our favorite holiday of the year and we are looking forward to sharing some of it with you.

Thompson Square Is Determined To Get New Music to Fans! – See Their Announcement!

Shawna and Keifer Thompson of Thompson Square, took to social media to clue fans into a big announcement that was coming later. However, twitter followers got a head’s up when they RTed an article mentioning they were parting ways with their record label.

Stoney Creek Records, a division of Broken Bow Records (home to Jason Aldean), has been the duo’s home since they first got a record deal back in 2010. The duo has two #1 singles and has racked up 7 award wins along with 2 GRAMMY nominations!

It’s been four years since the duo’s last album and since then fans have gotten a few singles, but are anxious for that third studio album! It has been just as frustrating for the duo as it has been for fans. Although, Stoney Creek has been a huge part of all their success, in the end sometimes a label can only take an artist so far.

It’s like ending a relationship on good terms, but knowing that it’s no longer beneficial for either party. Sometimes it takes that step to take control back over the vision and music. Without a label, Thompson Square will have more freedom to release music, an album and just do more of what feels good creatively. This is a good thing for fans eager to hear more music from the duo and a future album might just be around the corner.

In the meantime, the duo promises to stay very active on social media, where they have started “WinoWednesday” where they sing, hang out and drink wines while their fans tune in.

Thompson Square to Perform “You Make It Look So Good” on The Today Show!

Television is so much more exciting when Thompson Square is set to perform! The duo is made up of GRAMMY nominated husband and wife singer/songwriters Keifer and Shawna Thompson. Their latest single “You Make It Look So Good” was produced by GRAMMY winning producer, Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift).

The duo had their first born child earlier this year and have been married for 17 years! “You Make It Look So Good” is about not having the desire to settle down until you meet someone who changes everything, and suddenly everything you never wanted starts to look so good.

Thompson Square will join Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford in the 10 AM hour of TODAY (all time zones) Friday October 28, 2016!

There are moments that have come along for husband and wife duo Thompson Square in the last several years that have been real “pinch me” moments. They’ve celebrated success with two #1 songs (“Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You), they earned a GRAMMY nomination, they’ve met musical icons like Merle Haggard and finally, they had their first born child, a son – Cooper!

Keifer and Shawna Thompson are more than just a Country Duo, they are the kind of artists you fly across the world to see play for 15 minutes because they’ve touched your life that much. After fighting hard for 13 years before getting their record deal, it’s no wonder that to this day they are still the most humble and gracious people you will ever meet.

There are different kinds of artists, artists you listen to on the radio, artists who’s music you buy, artists who you make sure to see in concert and artists you go the next level for –  requesting their music to radio because they have something to say, a voice that needs to be heard. That’s the kind of artists, Thompson Square are. That’s why, when I told them they were the “holy grail of interviews,” I 100% meant it. They might not have the biggest name in Country Music, but they have the biggest place in my heart and the hearts of thousands of fans around the globe.

The GRAMMY nominated duo just released their new single “You Make It Look So Good” after taking a long break to enjoy life as new parents. This song resonated with the duo and it’s easy to see why. So often the tale goes, someone never pictures themselves getting married, settling  down… but then you meet the right person and things change.

With a title like “You Make It Look So Good,” it’s pretty easy to come up with witty things to say! We had Keifer and Shawna play a little game where they took turns telling each other what the other makes look so good… Things got a little crazy when Keifer’s answered turned into taking off clothes and sexy Chewbacca outfits! After talking with Thompson Square, it was exciting to find out more about where they’re at right now and what’s ahead for them. Keifer also talked about a new Children’s book that’s in production and doing more things related to children (songs, books) might be something Thompson Square works on as a side project in the future! CMA Fest week is well under way and Thompson Square put on quite the show at the Riverfront Stage! The duo performed there last year as well and their show never ceases to impress. The crowd came eager and ready to hear their new (soon to be hit) single, “You Make It Look So Good.”

Back on tour after taking several months off to care for their newborn son, Shawna and Keifer Thompson are stronger than ever. They have a new outlook on life, music and what truly matters. Their new single “You Make It Look So Good” impacts Country Radio Monday and is one that resonates with a lot of people out there. How many people have thought they never want to get married or settle down? Commitment can be scary, but then you find the right person and suddenly it doesn’t look so bad anymore.
