Kelsea Ballerini Celebrates 23 and Her 3rd #1 Single!

Kelsea Ballerini has officially scored her THIRD CONSECUTIVE No. 1 with “Peter Pan.” Happy Birthday, Kelsea! What a way to start off 23! Ballerini is the only female artist in country music history, including female duos and groups, to go #1 with her first three consecutive singles from a debut album.

Topping both Country Aircheck and Billboard Country Airplay charts this week, “Peter Pan” earns double #1’s on Billboard by also landing atop the Hot Country Songs chart. Following Florida Georgia Line’s impressive 18-week reign at #1 with “H.O.L.Y.,” Ballerini is the first woman to reach #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts simultaneously. Additionally, “Peter Pan” also reached its highest selling singles week at 26,652 units according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Ballerini has been taking the country world by storm and shows no signs of slowing down. Ballerini is set to release her fourth and final single “Yeah Boy” from her debut album, The First Time. Could this become her fourth consecutive No. 1?


Ballerini is currently in the studio working on her second full length album. Ballerini is also nominated for two CMA Awards including Female Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Be sure to catch Ballerini on the road on her first headline tour The First Time Tour this fall!

Kelsea Ballerini lit up the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Outdoor stage on Monday Night, August 1st. Ballerini has had a busy week as she presented at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, announced her very first headlining tour: The First Time which will kick off October 21st, went to Disneyland for the first time and had The Greatest Hits Finale Thursday night!

We were lucky enough to attend the Jimmy Kimmel Live! concert and Ballerini had the cowrd singing along with her, even to songs that have yet to go to radio! Like the song “X.O.”

She performed her song “Peter Pan” which is #8 on the Country Radio charts and rising! Ballerini wowed the crowd with her stage presence and her amazing songwriting skills proving that she is well on her way to becoming a country superstar!

Ballerini celebrated her big week with a trip to Disney on Tuesday where she rode the Peter Pan ride, hung with Chewbacca, and danced with Jasmine! She also serenaded a picture of Peter Pan with “Peter Pan.” She even found Peter himself in the park and captioned the photo “I found him!”, talk about coming full circle.

ACM’s New Female Aritst Of The Year, Kelsea Ballerini was in Los Angeles this week doing interviews and getting ready for her performance on the Radio Disney Awards and The American Country Countdown Awards! She is one busy lady and despite already having an interview with Access Hollywood Thursday morning, she also took time for a special ACM Session Taping!

These tapings allow fans to attend the private event where an artist is interviewed and then performs a few songs. They are later available online at CBS.com.

It was an interactive session, where Ballerini interacted with the fans and answered their questions off camera! She is excited about performing her single “Peter Pan” on the Radio Disney Music Awards and “Dibs” on the ACCAs.

Ballerini has two #1 songs off her current album and “Peter Pan” is the third single to be released and it is currently in the top 40 at Country Radio.

When talking about her single “Peter Pan” she explained that she has been the Peter Pan in a relationship and she has also been “Peter Panned.” Thus giving birth to a great new verb!

There were a ton of fun moments and Ballerini even had to sing two of her songs again because one of her band members was wearing a hat with a logo. The fans didn’t seem to mind one bit! While goofing around between songs, Ballerini sang a song “Highschool” that she is thinking about putting on her next album.

Ballerini also revealed that she is currently planning her next album. She just had her first meeting for it, she played 20 songs and they will be choosing five to begin with. She said that her first album introduced her as an artist from the age of 12-21. When she was putting it together she wasn’t thinking about a live show and that is why there are a lot of mid-tempo songs. Her next album will have more up-tempo songs to make for an even greater live show.

She also took the time to say hi to those in attendance! It was so lovely chatting with her!

What a wild Friday night Kelsea Ballerini had last weekend! Ballerini was very excited to be performing at ACM’s Party For A Cause for the first time ever and then they surprised her by presenting her with the ACM Award for New Female Vocalist Of The Year! Ballerini knew she won  but wasn’t expecting to be presented with the actual award in the middle of her set!

It was wonderful to be there to witness that! Ballerini also performed her new single “Peter Pan” off her album The First Time. It is the third single released from the album, with the previous two both reaching #1.

Kelsea Ballerini Earns Most Radio Adds This Week With “Peter Pan,” Added To CMA Fest Line Up And More!

Congrats to Kelsea Ballerini on releasing her third single “Peter Pan.” She had the biggest adds this week with 50! The song was already playing on several other stations prior to the official release!
