It’s so good to have new music from GRAMMY award-winning trio Lady Antebellum! They were able to get GRAMMY winning Director, Joseph Kahn to make the vision a reality. As with all of Kahn’s creations, he really was the mastermind behind it all. In the making of video, we see the idea for wanting all of these stars to sing a song that represented the last 50 years of Country Music, Kahn suggested a mashup of multiple songs to tie everything together. It makes for one emotional journey, especially with the imagery. The songs include Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again.”

The video was shot in front of green screens, and the end result is a beautiful work of art as we see cities being built and changing from town to town, as is much of the life of a touring artist.

2005

The Ryman can be seen coming together and then fading away as life takes on this journey, but yet always lead back home.

The video ends with a shot of Dolly Parton, singing one of the most recognizable and global songs to date, one that she wrote herself “I Will Always Love You.”

The song encompasses all of these artists and every Country Music artist who ever was and will ever be. It represents the listeners and the relationship artists have with them, the industry, the life. Country Music.

Hillary Scott’s Miscarriage Inspired Her Song “Thy Will” – Watch The Powerful Music Video

Hillary Scott of GRAMMY winning trio Lady Antebellum took to her Instagram Monday morning to announce that she will be releasing an album with her family titled Love Remains on July 29! Scott released the lead single “Thy Will” in April, and had teased a project with her whole family for some time.

The music video for “Thy Will” is similar to a mini movie and gives the audience an even deeper understanding of the song. It takes place in a picture perfect forest and a log cabin. Scott is shown in a simple white dress walking through a cabin and then out into the woods where she’s following a rope.  She follows the rope filled with knots and begins to untie them. Almost as if she wants the problems to have never happened. Towards the end she goes back to the rope and puts the knots back in… Almost as if to believe that everything happens for a reason and it’s not our will but God’s will.

Scott’s husband Chris Tyrrell and their daughter Eisele Kaye Tyrrell are also in the video. There’s a hint of a lost baby very briefly, which is what inspired the song. The video tells a story of a person’s struggle to understand why tragic things happen and about continuing to believe that God as a bigger plan.

Scott appeared on Good Morning America Monday morning as well to tell the story of why she wrote “Thy Will” Scott revealed that she suffered a miscarriage last fall and that was one of the reason she had started on this journey of making this album of hymns with her family.

For now Scott is back to touring with Lady Antebellum, but is doing a lot of press for her new project. Fans can look forward to the new music from Scott very soon! It’s a great way to showcase her voice apart from the songs she does with Lady A.

See a behind the scenes look at the making of the album below!
