(August 7, 2020 – Nashville, TN) Country music star, Cassadee Pope, has released her acoustic album,Rise and Shine, which is available today on all digital streaming platforms. Considered by Pope to be her most personal project to date, the eight-song collection is a showcase of her growth both as a woman and an artist. The album marks the first time Pope has had a hand in writing all of the songs and marks the first time she has served as co-producer, alongside Todd Lombardo.
“Rise and Shine is a record that is meant to help people navigate their feelings in this trying time,” says Pope of her latest album. “Personally, it’s been a time of reflection for me, and a lot of what I’ve reflected upon has brought up some dark moments. On August 6th, Pope hosted her third and final Virtual Launch Event via YouTube livestream. Fans were able to tune in for an acoustic set of her latest releases from Rise and Shine. These special events have been a way for Cassadee to connect directly with her fans and share her new music during these uniquely challenging times.

The Platinum-certified Country music star is also releasing the first two tracks from the acoustic album, “Let Me Go” and “Built This House” on Friday, June 26th. Each song echoes the complex and sometimes difficult realizations we are all tasked with when working to take ownership of your own life on your own terms – sometimes at the cost of losing something or someone you love.

Singer-Songwriter, Rachele Lynaeis gearing up to release her sophomore album Every Reason Friday, May 22, on her wedding anniversary! She has been writing songs since the age of 12 and has worked very closely with Jamie O’Neal on her self-titled debut album. She has shared the stage with artists like Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Kelsea Ballerini, Randy Houser and more!
Ahead of the release of Every Reason, she spoke to Variety Beat about making the album, the inspiration behind some of the songs, and how she’s been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Variety Beat: Congratulations on your new album, Every Reason, releasing May 22! How long was this collection of songs in the making?
Rachele Lynae: Thanks so much!! I’m SO excited to finally share this music with the world. This album has been in the works for quite a while as some of these songs were written up to four years ago. Many of them were written in 2018. Recording the album was mostly finished in the Spring of 2019, with a couple of small tweaks happening after that and as recently as the start of this year. It always surprises me how long it takes to write, record and put out an album, but it’s so worth the wait!
VB: You co-wrote all of the songs on the new project, so what back stories do you have from your favorite songs?
RL: All of these songs are my favorite! haha! I could tell you back stories about all of them. Like most of my writing, the majority of these songs are highly inspired by personal experience. Some of them start with personal experience and then they take on a life of their own. I took the title of the album from “Running Out Of Reasons,” and the song is probably the most word for word my experience of the bunch….from a story telling perspective. It’s the story of my husband and I when we were dating.
VB: Was the concept of the album mainly about your husband and marriage?
RL: It turned out that way almost by accident. I’ve always thought that albums should be a picture of where the artist is at that point in time, whether stylistically, personally or both. This album is definitely a snapshot of this season of my life. I had a vision for the feeling I wanted the music to give me and the overall sound. Love and marriage being woven into most of the songs just came naturally.
VB: What is the message you hope fans will take away from the album?
RL: I guess if there is an overarching message it would be the beauty of love, whether that’s loving someone else or learning to love yourself. I hope that it makes people feel inspired and free.
VB: This has been such a unique time for everyone with the COVID-19 pandemic, so how have you been promoting the album during this time of lockdown?
RL: I always planned on releasing singles ahead of the album, and I decided to stay on schedule. People need music, especially when they are stuck in their homes for such a long time. Most of the promotion has been online through the build up of each song being released, and of course through wonderful people like y’all at Variety Beat! 😀
VB: Has the down time made it easier or more difficult to be more creative?
RL: Haha! It really depends on the day. It’s definitely been a difficult time to focus, but I’ve never played the guitar this much in my life so a lot of creativity has come out of my scatterbrained mayhem.
VB: How are you finding ways to still connect with others…..fans and other artists?
RL: Social media has really come in for the win on this. My sister, Heather Cole, and I have been hosting virtual writer’s rounds, inviting other artists to share original music. It’s been fun! I have honestly been more consistent on my socials than I have ever been during this time. I’m so thankful for everyone who continues to support the arts right now.

Rachele Lynae to Perform Online Concert for New Album “Every Reason” on Friday, May 22 at 7:00 pm CDT
Nashville, Tenn. (May 19, 2020) —– Singer-Songwriter Rachele Lynae, will be hosting her Album Release Party on Facebook Live in support of her new album, Every Reason. The project releases this Friday, and the virtual party will begin at 7:00 pm CDT. Lynae will perform six songs from the album with her band. The long-awaited album, including 12 songs co-written by the artist, is a great work of art that is definitely worth the wait.
Lynae has been treating fans to five months of singles from Every Reason, with “Ground Me” being the latest. Bannen teased the release of the new song on her socials the day before, even playing a bit of it on the piano, in her bathrobe. She recorded this version in her kitchen and then sent it to Bowen for production. It’s honestly one of the best releases she’s put out.
The song was written by Bannen, Will Bowen and Claire Douglas last fall. Bannen wasn’t planning on releasing it, but it seemed fitting during this time.
Bannen shared: “The pace of all of our lives has slowed down so much, and I need a little extra hope right now … doesn’t everybody? This song is about seeing the world with a fresh, and hopeful perspective. It was recorded as a simple piano vocal, and was only ever supposed to be a demo. When I heard the song back, it just struck me differently in this season we’re all weathering, so I wanted to share it.”

OH MY GOSH!!! WHAT THE WHAT?! That’s exactly what I sent in an email reply to a friend who emailed to tell me that Natalie Stovall is joining Runaway June. Yesterday, my heart broke a little knowing that Hannah Mulholland announced she would be leaving the trio. It was sad considering I love all three of them together and their voices worked so well together. Going from a trio to a duo was realistically going to be harder. A trio set them a part, especially an all female trio.
Reflecting on why Mulholland would want to leave the group, I figured that this time at home and not traveling so much has allowed her to realize the home life she has been missing. That seems to be what happened, as Runaway June members, Jennifer Wayne and Naomi Cooke announced the news on The Bobby Bones Show. Cooke explained: “Our low harmony singer, Hannah, has decided to make a change in her life, which we all really co-sign and support for her. She wants to be with her husband and her family in California and we completely support that. It’s a really crazy time in the world. We’re unveiling that our beautiful friend, Natalie Stovall, is stepping in and we could not be more excited for this. It’s insane!”
We wish Hannah all the best and will continue to support her future endeavors!
We also, cannot calm down about Stovall joining Runaway June as we have long supported Stovall, before Runaway June was even a trio! Now we can combine that love into a group and see them all at the same time! Plus, have you ever seen Stovall play the fiddle?? This is going to step up the Runaway June level and I can’t wait to watch them soar!
Wayne explained the decision to remain a trio: “Naomi and I did. We talked about being a duo and talked about what that meant. We just really love the three-part harmony. Also, when we talked about adding a member, if we were gonna add a member, we were like, the literal only person that we could ever see taking this part is Natalie. She’s an amazing singer, she’s an amazing musician, her presence on stage is insane, so we thought about being a duo, or having someone that makes us better and it was a no brainer.”
Stovall shared her excitement as well saying: “I really am honored that they were thinking that it was either gonna be a duo or that I was the only person that they were gonna ask. That’s incredible. I know that one of my favorite ways to create music is in a group setting and with band members, there’s nothing like that. But, I’ve never had the opportunity to really tour with sisters on the road,I’ve always been surrounded by dudes, so that in itself, and also the thought of getting to sing three-part harmony all the time…I’m such a sucker for harmonies.”
She had no idea she would be asked to be apart of Runaway June and said:
“It was a really left-field ask, I did not expect it. It took me a second to adjust my focus to it, but as soon as it settled it, it was a no-brainer for me.”
She later shared on social media:
“Let the adventure begin!!! I am so excited to finally let y’all in on what’s been going on!!! I am joining Runaway June!!! As soon as we can, we will be out there on the road coming your way. And in the meantime, we will be creating music for you to hear! Much love.”
