Congratulations Carrie Underwood on Your 24th #1 Single “Church Bells”

Unstoppable powerhouse, Carrie Underwood just landed her 24 #1 at Country Radio with “Church Bells.” This marks Underwood’s third straight #1 from her album Storyteller. “Story Teller” continues on a similar theme of Underwoods which has to do with Domestic Violence and faith.

It was all bruises, covered in makeup
Dark sunglasses
And that next morning, sitting in the back pew
Praying with the baptist

She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing
And up in the loft, that whole choir singing, singing
Fold your hands and close your eyes
Yeah, it’s all gonna be alright

According to Billboard: “Church Bells” is Underwood’s 15th Country Airplay No. 1, extending her mark for the most leaders among women, dating to the chart’s launch on Jan. 20, 1990. Reba McEntire is second among women with 11 No. 1s; Tim McGraw leads all acts with 28. Underwood now ties Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean with 15!

Carrie Underwood Releases “Church Bells” Music Video – Watch

While some fans may be disappointed that Carrie Underwood put out a tour video as the “Church Bells” music video, others will be glad to get a taste of her tour! It looks like quite a production, from someone who hasn’t been there yet! The main focus is of course on her outfit during her “Church Bells” performance, but there are shots from other songs and of the fans as well!

Underwood’s previous music video for “Heartbeat,” wasn’t much of a video as far as Music Videos go. There was a lot she could have done with that song, which features Sam Hunt, but when you are Carrie Underwood, you don’t have to do much.

Most all of her songs go #1 and Music Videos aren’t something she really needs to put out, but she does it for the fans and maybe partly because it’s expected. Being a mom, a wife and a touring artist has got to be hard, so the music video fits perfectly with her lifestyle.

Gallery: Carrie Underwood Performs At ACM Party For A Cause – Watch

Headlining night 1 of ACM’s Party For A Cause was none other than Carrie Underwood. It’s her we have to thank for this wonderful day of Women In Country! She requested the bill for Friday to be all Female Country Artists! It was definitely a day in heaven!

Underwood has one of the most amazing voices across all genres! It was wonderful to hear her perform her new single “Church Bells.”

Her previous single, “Heartbeat” recently hit #1 and happens to be my favorite off the Storyteller album!

Underwood also had a few surprises up her sleeve, as well as being surprised herself when the Academy of Country Music presented her with the Lifting Lives Gary Haber Award! She brought out Miranda Lambert to perform their song “Something Bad.” The crowd went wild with excitement!

Underwood also performed a song off her album Storyteller called “Dirty Laundry.” It’s a fun song about what happens when a man cheats on you! Of course being cheated on is definitely not fun, but it’s a warning to men, if you do it, well your dirty laundry is going to be aired!

Waiting all day/night for Underwood to perform was well worth it. She always blows it out of the water! Speaking of water, she performed her GRAMMY winning song “Something In The Water.” I had to record a clip as it’s such a powerful song that really showcases her vocal range!

Not only did Underood request to have an all female bill, but she then invited them back to sing with her! The atmosphere was crazy as Kelleigh Bannen, Lauren Alaina, Kellie Pickler and Jana Kramer all came back out to perform “Before He Cheats” with Underwood!

“Church Bells” To Be Carrie Underwood’s Next Single – Listen

I can hear the “Church Bells” ringing ringing. Carrie Underwood is no stranger to singing about a woman getting her revenge, even in the form of murder (“Two Black Cadillacs.”) Her new single, “Church Bells” tells the story of a young girl who married up and ended up being abused by her husband. The Church Bells end up being metaphorical throughout the song.

In the first part of the song, they sort of offer up redemption from her poor life and are always a sign of hope, everything’s going to be alright. In the next chorus, after being abused, she seeks refuge and strength at church and they seem to offer hope and the courage to do what she needs. Although, murder is never okay, it seems to be over looked sometimes in cases of songs with women and abuse. Somehow it gets covered up and untraceable (“Goodbye Earl” by the Dixie Chicks is another example.) After killing her husband, the church bells sort of represent hope again, that she is no longer in any danger and will be alright.

And how he died is still a mystery

But he hit a woman for the very last time

She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing

Standing there in a black dress singing, singing
