“You’re so gorgeous” starts the first line of Taylor Swift‘s brand new song “Gorgeous” that was just released!!! It’s definitely clear that Swift really wants you to get to know who she is now. She’s now in her late 20’s and not afraid to admit she drinks wine, or in this case, whiskey! The best part about her new song “Gorgeous” is again how relatable it is. She always finds a way to take a personal moment and allow it to be perfectly relatable. Also, she talks about her cats, so clearly the song is going #1!
While not everyone will know the back story behind the song, except the so far 300 people who have attended a Secret Session album listening party, Swift did make them promise to let everyone know “Gorgeous” is about her “Heaven sent angel boyfriend”, Joe Alwyn whom she has been dating for a year.
It is funny that people are assuming it’s about other people, including Tom Hiddleston, because if you think that then clearly you didn’t actually listen to the song. The opening lyrics even say “And I got a boyfriend, he’s older than us. He’s in the club doing I don’t know what.” Also, Tom is most definitely not younger than Calvin, so it automatically eliminates him anyway!
Swift also liked a post on tumblr that stated all of the love songs on Reputation are about Alwyn and not about any past exes!
The lyrics to the song don’t really need to be decoded because they honestly feel so straightforward. So listen to the song and enjoy it and the lyrics are at the bottom with a few notes, just in case.
