Kenny Chesney shared some surprising news July 6th. Chesney announced that his album Some Town Somewhere which was supposed to come out this Friday July 8th has been postponed! The album which features the hit single “Noise” will now come out on October 28th! Chesney shared in a press release that the reason for the delay is due to a duet with Pink.
The song which is titled “Setting The World On Fire” is one that Chesney says is “right in the moment.” “This is a song of being; but the more I listened, the more I knew I needed a woman’s voice. To be in the song with me” Chesney said in the press release.
In the release he goes on to talk about pink’s voice and why he chose the singer who he had become friends with after spending some time in California

Chesney who is on his annual stadium tour, Speard The Love Tour with Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion also addressed why he felt the whole album should be delayed.
“Sure, it would be easier to just leave everything on schedule, But when you have something you know is great, and it captures the best part of being alive, why wouldn’t you slow down enough to make it happen in the moment? That’s what ‘Setting the World on Fire’ is all about – and I figure it may be a while before I make another record, and I don’t want to wait to share this because it’s so good.”
While fans are going to have wait longer then expected for the new album they can catch Chesney on tour through August 27th! Fans can see when and where he’s going to be on Kennychesney.com
