Continuing her red-hot momentum, Country artist Lindsay Ell will release her eagerly-awaited debut album The Project on August 11 via Stoney Creek Records. The 12-song collection is available for pre-order now! Click HERE for pre-order. It also includes songs co-written by: Kelsea Ballerini, Caitlyn Smith, Carly Pearce, Shane McAnally and Kristian Bush!

The Project, produced by celebrated Grammy-winner Kristian Bush (of Sugarland), follows their acclaimed collaboration on Ell’s debut EP Worth The Wait. The album features current single “Waiting On You,” which Rolling Stone Country applauds “is a showcase not only for the Canadian’s gifts as a singer but also as a guitarist.”
“This new music is the best I’ve ever done,” the multi-instrumentalist shares. I called the album The Project because that’s exactly what this whole process was. I’ve discovered who I am, what I want to say and how I want to say it. I’m so excited to finally have an album that is me, and I can’t wait for fans to hear it.”
The Project is the end result of a soul bearing creative process powered by true-to-life songwriting that inspired Ell to “find her artistic voice” (Billboard). From the funky and spirited “Champagne,” to the resilient and superbly relatable “Wildfire” to crowd-favorite “Criminal,” the album is layered with stand-outs.

Adding to the excitement, following a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Ell will make her morning TV debut on NBC’s The Today Show on Tuesday, August 8. Tune-in at 10 AM (all time zones) to watch her perform “Waiting On You.”

ABOUT LINDSAY ELL:
Named one of The Huffington Post’s “Top Country Artists to Watch,” Lindsay Ell is a triple threat: accomplished musician, unique vocalist and songwriter. The young Calgary native learned to play guitar while traveling with her father to country-bluegrass camps as a young girl. Ell honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman” / “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13. The multi-instrumentalist was soon touring alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, The Band Perry and Keith Urban as well as wowing audiences as Carrie Underwood’s guitar player live on the 50th Annual CMA Awards and holding her own alongside icon Melissa Etheridge on Skyville Live.
A 2016 CMT Music Award and Canadian Country Music Award nominee, Ell exhilarated audiences from coast-to-coast as part of the 2016 CMT Next Women of Country Tour and is featured on Brad Paisley’s 2017 WEEKEND WARRIOR WORLD TOUR. Ell’s debut album The Project is available on August 11. For more information visit: http://www.LindsayEll.com.

Shawna and Keifer Thompson of Thompson Square, took to social media to clue fans into a big announcement that was coming later. However, twitter followers got a head’s up when they RTed an article mentioning they were parting ways with their record label.

Stoney Creek Records, a division of Broken Bow Records (home to Jason Aldean), has been the duo’s home since they first got a record deal back in 2010. The duo has two #1 singles and has racked up 7 award wins along with 2 GRAMMY nominations!

It’s been four years since the duo’s last album and since then fans have gotten a few singles, but are anxious for that third studio album! It has been just as frustrating for the duo as it has been for fans. Although, Stoney Creek has been a huge part of all their success, in the end sometimes a label can only take an artist so far.

It’s like ending a relationship on good terms, but knowing that it’s no longer beneficial for either party. Sometimes it takes that step to take control back over the vision and music. Without a label, Thompson Square will have more freedom to release music, an album and just do more of what feels good creatively. This is a good thing for fans eager to hear more music from the duo and a future album might just be around the corner.
In the meantime, the duo promises to stay very active on social media, where they have started “WinoWednesday” where they sing, hang out and drink wines while their fans tune in.
Tune in for another #WinoWednesday on our Facebook page TONIGHT at 9pm! 🍷🍷 pic.twitter.com/EsANsRNNsC
