The Country Music Awards are celebrating their 50th Annual CMA Awards this November and to celebrate they are bringing out all kinds of videos and interviews to get everyone excited about the big milestone!

In their CMA Awards 50/50: Dynamic Duos (2000s): Florida Georgia Line and Thompson Square reminisce on what it was like to win their very first CMA Award for Vocal Duo Of The Year.

Shawna Thompson remembers:

“First of all I was like ‘did they really just say our name’ because I don’t want to stand up if they didn’t say our name and look like I’m crazy or something.”

Florida Georgia Line never takes the wins for granted and says it means so much just to know they were voted to win and considered the best in that category.
