Gallery: Thompson Square Performs at Forever Country Stage During CMA Fest

There is a lot happening with Thompson Square these days and no website could be as ecstatic as us here at Variety Beat! Not only do Shawna and Keifer Thompson of Thompson Square (lovingly known as T2) have a new label, but they also have a new single, “Masterpiece,” coming out on July 22nd.

Keifer has also been tackling comedy and has performed three shows already, with the latest being a legendary spot in New York! His jokes of choice are of course making fun of his wife, Shawna, whom he has been married to for 20 years. Fans of T2 have seen them crack jokes on stage and it’s something Keifer has always wanted to do.

Since parting ways with their last label, Shawna and Keifer have been able to focus on doing the things they want to do. They released a children’s book titled Time to Get Dressed , put out a new album Masterpiece, and now they are working on more projects. One being Keifer’s comedy, another has something to do with Shawna and was announced at their CMA Fest fan club party, but until it’s official, we will keep that mum for now! However, You know we will have an article with all the details when the time comes! It is exciting though! There’s more projects in the works and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead for these two!

Speaking of CMA Fest, the country duo was back this year performing at the Forever Country Stage. They treated fans to some of their hits and #1 songs like “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?”, along with music off their latest album release.

Earlier in the day, they held their 4th annual fan club party at Legendairy Milkshake Bar. They created a custom milkshake and had a personalized cup each fan got to take home. After performing a few songs, they took the time to greet each fan and take pictures. Their adorable son, Cooper also spoke to the crowd and thanked them for coming. A definite ‘awww’ moment. He also sang a little of the song “Time to Get Dressed“ that inspired their book. It’s safe to say singing is in his genes!
