Taylor Swift Says She Owes Everything in Her Life to Her Fans!

If you’re anxious for new music from Taylor Swift, don’t worry, you’ll be the first know! Swift assured her fans at the iHeartRadio awards that they would be the first to know and that she loves the attention to detail (aka the wild theories about everything from the number of trees in her instagram posts to the shoe she wears).

Despite there being no official “new music” announcements, we are in the dawn of a new era. Swift has moved away from her dark and edgy looks that highlighted the Reputation era and has entered into a playful and colorful world. It is truly like she shed her skin and metamorphosized from a snake into a butterfly.

Swift recently published an essay about 30 things she’s learned ahead of her turning 30 in December. One of the things she wrote is that there is a misconception that she wouldn’t be able to be happy and write music:

“I remember people asking me, ‘What are you gonna write about if you ever get happy?’ There’s a common misconception that artists have to be miserable in order to make good art, that art and suffering go hand in hand. I’m really grateful to have learned this isn’t true. Finding happiness and inspiration at the same time has been really cool.”

Although Swift has written about heartbreaks and the endings of relationships on her previous albums, she has also written about love and happiness during relationships. Most of the songs on her album 1989 are about the wonders of a relationship. Even the songs that addressed the ending of a relationship did so with grace, so much so that the subject of those songs (Harry Styles) even commented on how great they are and how songwriters write from experience.

“I mean, I don’t know if they’re about me or not … But the issue is, she’s so good, they’re bloody everywhere. She doesn’t need me to tell her they’re great. They’re great songs…. It’s the most amazing unspoken dialogue ever.”

Her latest album, Reputation also spoke about love and navigating new relationships, literally… almost every song. The album only hinted about the end of a relationship during one upbeat song “Getaway Car.” She put out an entire album that addressed no heartbreak and in 2019 people still want to make jokes about her dating and breaking up to get inspiration. It’s a shame those people are so bitter about their own love life that they don’t realize Swift has been in a relationship for the past 2.5 years and counting!

So what does the new era have in store? Apparently love and butterflies! Butterflies was certainly the theme during Swift’s iHeartRadio awards appearance. Inspired perhaps by the butterfly migration to Southern California… Swift fun and colorful Sequin romper is less than $250 from the UK and has since sold out! There are many other colors and styles in the same color for anyone else still wanting the same fashion!

Swift attended the iHeartRadio awards where she won Tour of the Year and Best Music Video for her song “Delicate.” In her acceptance speech for the tour of the year she thanked her fans for being the unforeseeable factors that media failed to credit. The reason her tour was not only a flop but the highest grossing tour in the U.S. Read below to see the full speech.

“I think one of the most wonderful things about the way that this whole tour turned out is that for, like, the entire six months leading up to the first show of this tour, every headline that I read about the tour was, ‘This is going to be a massive failure. This is going to be a flop tour,’ “And it really did wonders for my self-esteem. It was really great to hear people saying that I was going to be playing to nearly empty stadiums.

I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned a lot. One of the things I’ve learned is that life is really unpredictable, and people can make forecasts, and they can make predictions, but those predictions and forecasts may not come true if there is an unforeseeable factor involved. And that unforeseeable factor, in this case, was my fans.

I honestly owe everything – everything – in my life to you. And I wanna thank you if you came out and saw the show in perfect weather, or if you came to one of our many rain shows that we had. And I also wanna say thank you if you just watched the show on Netflix! You guys are the reason why this tour, the only reason why this tour wasn’t a massive failure, and why it ended up being the highest-selling tour in U.S. history. That’s you.

I also just wanted to say before I go that I love your passion, I love your attention to detail, I love how much you care, and I love seeing all the things that you’re posting online,” she said, “and I just wanted to let you know that when there’s new music, you will be the first to know. I love you so much.”

So when will the next era officially be here? The good news, Swift has already embraced a new theme to her Instagram posts filled with colorful filters, hearts and glitter. That means the era has already started. Previously, Swift told someone off record when mentioned that she should name her next album “30” that the album would be out before her 30th birthday (which is December 13.) It remains to be seen if this will officially happen, but it is very possible and more news probably will not be expected until the late summer/early fall! Hang in their Swifties and for now, enjoy all the wonderful posts she has been posting on her social media channels (except for Twitter because what’s twitter anyway? ;)).

  1. Great post! I loved how she gracefully called out the media in her acceptance speech and thanked her fans for the tour being so successful. She is truly special and the relationship we as fans have with her is something so beautiful and rare. I’m so proud of her. Looking forward to whenever she announces TS7, too! 🙂
